What is Spiritual Direction?
Spiritual Direction offers a safe, compassionate space where the directee can show up as their full self- doubts, longings, wounds, hopes, and all. This space reminds the directee that they are not alone, and that God is already at work within them.
Rather than offering advice, a spiritual director practices Holy listening- not just words being spoken, but also to what’s stirring beneath the surface. They listen for the movement of the Spirit, often reflecting back what the directee might not yet see clearly themselves.
A spiritual director accompanies the directee in noticing God’s presence and activity in everyday life. This often involves helping them discern next steps, clarify desires, or sit with uncertainty- all while grounding them in prayer, scripture, or other practices that deepen awareness.
About Me
Amber is a Spiritual Director rooted in the belief that God is always speaking- often in the quiet, the questions, and the ordinary moments of our lives. Her calling is to walk alongside others as they seek to notice, trust, and respond to that still, small voice.
Her approach is gentle, spacious, and grounded in grace. whether you’re experiencing a shift in faith, walking through loss, discerning a next step, or simply longing for a deeper connection with God, she is here to accompany you- not give you answers, but listen with you for the Holy.
She draws from the rich traditions of contemplative prayer and a deep respect for each person’s unique spiritual path. Her training in Spiritual Direction has taught her to hold space with curiosity, humility, and reverence for the Sacred unfolding of your story. She holds a Masters in Divinity and a Spiritual Direction Certification from Eastern Mennonite Seminary. Outside of her Spiritual Direction practice, Amber serves as a pastor of a traditional church and is the curator and pastor for the Dinner Church Collective of Morgantown, WV.
Amber lives in West Virginia with her husband, Rick and son, Sawyer. They have an adopted doodle named Bubba.
